<\/p>\nToday, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Campania Region has organised the event “Fil Rouge” at the Troisi Theatre in Naples – Via G.Leopardi n\u00b0192 – starting at 10.00 a.m.
Many people know the word “Fil Rouge”, but few know the legend that gave rise to it. According to popular Chinese tradition, every person carries, from birth, an invisible red thread tied to the little finger of his left hand that binds him to his soul mate. The thread has the characteristic of being indestructible: the two people are destined, sooner or later, to meet and be together.
Our symbol will therefore be a red thread that each participant will wear to show that they are part of a united movement,” said Chiara Marciani, Councillor for Education and Equal Opportunities. “We want this red thread to bind all human beings, because we are all equal, we have equal rights and we must be united against violence.<\/p>\n
Many artists will take turns on stage, led by Pippo Pelo and Adriana Petro, to launch their message: Clementino, Andrea Sannino, Casa Surace, Arteteca, Paolo and Ciro from Radio Kiss Kiss, the “Arti in movimento” dance school in Teano, the Management musical group and others.<\/p>\n
The day will also be an opportunity to award prizes to the schools that won the “Stop violence” competition. The competition, promoted by the councillor’s office as part of the “Never Again Alone” project, saw the participation of numerous schools of all levels throughout the region, which were creatively engaged in making videos and photos to combat the phenomenon. The winning entries will be used by the Campania Region for institutional communication activities on combating gender-based violence.
Gender policies are widely contemplated in the programming of the POR Campania FSE 2014-2020 with specific measures under Axis 1 – Employment, 2 – Social inclusion and fight against poverty and 3 – Education and Training.<\/p>\n
