The project “Java for Campania” gets into full swing. The Campania Region has approved the lists of candidates who will take the admission test to be part of the 240 participants in the courses of Java Programmer I (Decree no. 361 of 12\/04\/2018 of the General Directorate 11, and issued in the BURC no. 30 of 16\/04\/2018 within the project “Java for Campania”). They are, in total, 554 youths from Campania between 18 and 35 years old who have applied for admission, responding to the Public Notice of last 10 January 2018.<\/p>\n

The selection test will be held on 25 May at the Mostra d’Oltremare in Naples and will take place in a single joint session. The test will consist of 30 multiple-choice questions, 20% of which will be in English. Once selected, the 240 young people will attend courses organised by Oracle Italia in all the Campania provinces. At the end of the training course, they will be able to take the exams to obtain the Java programmer certification.<\/p>\n

Chiara Marciani, Councillor for Education and Training, says: “With this project, the Campania Region intends to increase the skills of our young people in the ICT sector on the one hand and create employment in our region on the other. We have therefore chosen an innovative approach that combines training and job placement to ensure that both young people and businesses in Campania benefit, starting with those that invest in innovation and local skills. Given the high number of applications for the call, we are checking the possibility of repeating the experience as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

But that’s not all. The third phase of the project will include consolidation and job-placement activities through the selection of companies based in Campania that are interested in making use of the skills acquired by the young people, to whom specific accompaniment and training courses will be dedicated. The best 50 young people who have obtained certification will receive a recruitment incentive of 5,000 euros; the next 50 will receive a contribution of 500 euros per month for six months.<\/p>\n

In the coming days, admitted candidates will receive further information on how to participate in the selection test.<\/p>\n
